Become a PADI Open Water Scuba Diver!

Be a part of the world's largest and most recognized dive organization. You do not need to have any previous experience SCUBA diving for this class. You must only be comfortable being in the water, know how to swim, and not have any outstanding medical conditions. Upon completion of the Open Water Diver course, you will have the skills to dive to a maximum of 60 ft. independently! 

During the OW course you will learn all about diving, including:

  • Dive equipment use and handling

  • Safety Procedures

  • Emergency Skills

  • Underwater swimming/proper underwater buoyancy

  • Care for the underwater environment

       ....and more!

Our 2 day course schedule typically is as follows*:

*We require a mandatory orientation before your course begins. This is essential to your course, and only takes ~30 min.  Same-day orientations will have a fee.

Day 1: 

  • 7:30 am check in

  • Pool from 7:30 -11:30am

  • Lunch Break

  • Open Water dives 1-4:30pm

Day 2: similar schedule - expect to end at 5:30pm after de-brief and equipment check in.

 

The Open Water course includes:

  • PADI Electronic Learning Materials* (~12 hours of learning)

  • 2 Pool Training Sessions

  • 4 open water dives

  • Tanks, weights, BDC and Regulator.

*All E - Learning MUST be completed before pool sessions/ocean dives can occur.

 

What is NOT included: Mask, Snorkel, Fins, Wetsuit, and Surface Marker Buoy (SMB). Please bring your own if you have them, you can also purchase them from our shop at a student discount, or you may rent them for your course.

Group courses run every Saturday - Sunday*

Weekday courses must have a min. of 2 divers to run. 

*For private courses, weekday courses, large groups (6 ppl+), or if booking a 10-11 year old, please call the shop to confirm instructor availability.
